About this speaker

Allan Jensen, of Johns Creek, Ga., was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He joined USTA Southern in September, 2018, and his primary goal is to grow tennis in the Hispanic communities throughout the Southern section. His focus will also center on growing youth tennis through Net Generation.

Previously, Jensen was the director of tennis at Medlock Bridge Tennis Center in Johns Creek, where he coached and managed 72 adult and junior league teams, oversaw administration and facility operations and organized tennis tournaments. Prior to Medlock Bridge, he was the director of women’s tennis at Dunwoody Country Club as well as the director of tennis at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta for 10 years. 

He is a USPTA Elite member for 25 years and a USPTA Tester for 17 years. Among the honors Jensen has received are the 2008 United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Georgia Pro of the Year, the 2008-09 USPTA Southern Tester of the Year and the USPTA National Tester of the Year in 2019. In 2019 he was the top 10 education credit earner.  He served as the USPTA Georgia president for two years and as a board member for 10 years. He was nominated for GPTA Director of Tennis and Program of the Year awards in 2008 and 2014. 

Jensen earned his bachelor’s degree in science from Brigham Young University in Hawaii, where he played varsity tennis and was ranked as high as No. 27 nationally in NAIA singles.
